Wooden Floor Installation

Wooden Floor Installation

The preliminary work carried out on the suitability of your sub-floor is of paramount importance to the longevity of your new wood floor.
The 4 basic types of sub-floor that we work with are:
  • Joists
  • Concrete Screed
  • Existing floor boards
  • Chipboard / Plywood
By evaluating what type of sub floor you have, we can deduce the correct course of action and provide all you need for the making of a beautiful new wood floor. The amount of work required to get your sub-floor to an adequate level for us to start laying can vary hugely. This may be due to your property being either new or old, but either we, we can provide the solution.

As a wood floor sanding company, we can also offer wood floor installation.

The wood floors we provide for installation are from laminate to engineered wood – we can also install the sub floor prior to laying the wood floor. Another wood we can supply is solid wood floor ranging from light to dark oak, beech, parquet and five finger parquet.

Firstly, we would arrange an appointment to visit the customer to discuss their wood floor or hard wood floor installation

During the visit, we would measure the areas that require wood and hard wood floor installation

Whilst discussing the customers requirements, we can show them various wood and hard wood samples that we can also supply prior to the wooden floor installation

If the customer asks us to supply the wood for the floor installation, we can order this along with any other sub floor items, adhesives and everything needed for the wooden floor or hard floor installation

The customer would need to completely empty the rooms and areas where the wood floor installation will be taking place

The wood will have been delivered prior to the wood floor or hard wood floor installation so that it can acclimatise in the areas that it will be installed in – this is very important

Once the wood floor installation has been completed, there is an option of having the wooden floor sanded or floor stained if the manufacturers finish isn’t what the customer required

A hard wax oil, or laquer could be applied along with magic oil which is a two part product using a hardener to make the surface tougher wearing

All machines and products are supplied by Pallmann and we are the affiliated company in Kent for The Ultimate Floor Sanding Company Limited
